	readme.txt	- the readme file for installation of the driver of VMware ESXi 4.0 Installable

2. Notes

	2.1	This is the instruction for the installation of Areca RAID volume(s) as
		(an) external storage(s) or a system storage.
	2.2	Installing VMware ESXi 4.0 Installable onto an Areca volume is unsupported
		by VMware and Areca Technology Corp., because officially VMware does not recommend
		customers this kind of installation for VMware ESXi 4.0 Installable.
	2.3	The whole series of Areca ARC11XX/ARC12XX/ARC13XX/ARC16XX SATA/SAS RAID
		controllers are all applicable to VMware ESXi 4.0 Installable, but only ARC-1680 series
		products will be certified by VMware.
	2.5	Please check if your platform and devices are listed on VMware ESXi 4.0 Installable HCL first.

3. Installation
	3.1 No matter what Areca volume(s) are for, please visit http://varazir.mine.nu/esxi/
		and download inetd.conf, mkesxiaio_3.4.sh, VMware ESXi 4.0 Installable iso from vmware.com
		and the oem.tgz which Areca provides.
	3.2 Collect these files in the same folder.
	3.3 Change mkesxiaio_3.4.sh to execution mode(chmod +x mkesxiaio_3.4.sh).
	3.4 Make sure the iso version is the same with the variable, esx_iso4, value in mkesxiaio_3.4.sh,
		if not, please modify it. 
	3.5 Execute mkesxiaio_3.4.sh and answer the questions from the script,
		then get the file corresponding to your selection.
